In the opening scene, we see Aurora and Felino discussing the trust agreement, which contains the inheritance they have got from the late Leopoldo Chua and contains an extravagant amount of 400 million pesos that will be distributed equally to the four Chua sisters. This bombshell development stirs up the emotions of Aurora, who does not want the illegitimate Chua sisters to get their share of the money, especially Violet, because it would feed the need of Julian, who she already knows is after the money, but Felino reminds Aurora that the law must be followed and it is the wish of Leopoldo that all his daughters (including the illegitimate ones) receive their equal share of it. Aurora is reassuringly told by Felino that this news of the inheritance will remain among the three of them and will not leak out.The next scene shows Kenneth Chan and Iris getting out of the car in what appears to be a section on the side of the road. Iris admits to Kenneth Chan that she enjoys long drives to unknown destinations because it calms her down. Then she explains that when she was a very young girl and she would look for her father, her mother would calm her down by driving her around to the point she would fall asleep in the car, and when she woke up, her mother would tell her they had already visited her father after she would fall asleep.
Then, Kenneth opens up with Iris and tells her he is uncomfortable driving for a long time because of a past traumatic experience with his older brother when they nearly got into a car accident, endangering the lives of bystanders on the road. This surprises Iris and she apologizes for it because, naturally, she was unaware of it. Next, she leans forward and gives Kenneth a comforting hug, and it surprises Kenneth, but he shows practically zero to little emotion, i.e., he just stands there with his hands still in his pocket while Iris is hugging him. The awkward moment there. Also, it is unrealistic that a man who is getting hugged by someone as beautiful as Iris would not react at all. I mean, he froze and was like a statue. A weird moment between the two of them.
Next, we see Violet in her bedroom, staring at herself in the mirror as she “licks her wounds” from the facial injury caused when Violet confronted Julian with surveillance photos of Julian having an extramarital affair with another woman (Jade Lee), or, in layperson’s terms, cheating. Violet has some clarity in her eyes as she processes the events with Julian and his other woman, Jade Lee. She then leaves her bedroom and quietly enters Kayla’s bedroom, where she goes through Kayla’s belongings, causing Kayla to wake up. Upon seeing Violet going through her belongings, Kayla wonders what she is doing there, to which Violet reminds her she does not need to knock and ask her permission because that is her house. Violet simply takes it and storms out of her room in an instant.
Later in the day, we see Violet meeting up with her two frenemies if that is what they are; It surprised them that Violet has become the CEO of Crestmont’s chocolate subsidiary (Chocolatier), and in their usual cynical fashion, they say that being a CEO is a lot of hard work, and what about her diploma? All of this prodding does not affect Violet, and she brushes it off. Next, she mentions she plans on putting up a gym. I see what is happening here from the first moment I laid my eyes on these two lousy excuses for friends; they praise and ride along with Violet when she does well and when she does not they do nothing but criticize her from head to toe. One of them suggests to her she should hire her interior designer to renovate her office, which looks like the entire floor in the Crestmont building. They plant doubts in her head. Soon, Violet’s secretary calls, requesting her presence. Violet discovers to her extreme dismay that the office space they assigned her is a traditional office space, which is quite small. The reaction that Violet gives off here is laughable because it is so extreme and comical. She then asks her secretary where the left wing of the building is and who assigned her this small office space. As soon as the secretary reveals it is Lily, she heads toward Lily’s office.

In the office of Lily, here is Melissa, the secretary, trying to calm her, but to no success; she hilariously shoves her off twice in the presence of Dahlia, who is a mere witness to everything happening. It is ridiculous. Violet confronts Lily, saying that she does not deserve to work in such a demeaning workstation because she is the CEO, to which Lily puts her in her place and reminds her that no, that she is the CEO and that this is her building and she is only giving her a workstation as a favor and if she is dissatisfied with it, she is sure she can find work somewhere else.
In reality, the amount of money that Violet has (20 Million Pesos) is not enough to put up her own building. Violet’s mouth is shut for the time being and she threatens action, to which she gets physical with Lily, and Violet loses this round because Lily has regained her mettle and is becoming unafraid of Violet, who has almost become a parody of her former self because everything has to be a battle or issue with her. They shunned Violet.
In the meeting, we see Felino, Lily, and all the other people in charge of Crestmont. The person who is talking is giving a report that their sales have dropped in the Visayas and Mindanao regions and that they are losing sales rapidly. When Dahlia hears this, she offers her two cents or opinion on the subject; she says the guy speaking wants to know her ranking. Which cuts her speech off and amuses the guy but is quickly corrected by Lily that Dahlia has a background in sales and marketing, and Lily then gives a very nice one-liner that is quotable: “We do not look at the person but at the idea.” I can relate perfectly to that feeling and where Dahlia is coming from. Then, Lily is given the floor to present her case, and she shows that because of Crestmont Snacks’ focus on urban areas, gave rise to the opportunity for other food and snack companies to fill in the vacant slots and that they need to do an outreach program to these “forgotten areas” so that they can reconnect with the people there and also be of help. In short, you kill two birds with one stone. Next, we see Dahlia and Lily walking almost side by side outside the office where the meeting took place. Lily congratulates Dahlia on her great performance and says that it must be because she took after their hardworking late father, Leopoldo Chua. Lily insists that her great performance and business knowledge are all because of her Chua roots. Dahlia politely disagrees with her and enlightens her that everything she is now in terms of her personality and work ethic is because she grew up in hardship and wanted to become rich one day and successful because of it. Lily respectfully nods to her. Flashback to 2004 shows a middle-aged Leopoldo Chua and a young Lily staring into the windows of one of their factories, looking downward. Lily regretfully informs her father that some products are not selling well and that they must implement cost-cutting measures in order for the business to stay afloat but not profitable. Lily is hesitant about cutting costs because it would result in the closure of their factory in Malabon. This bothers Lily and can’t separate the business side from the emotional or human side of everything they have in the family business. Leopoldo Chua disagrees with her display of weakness and hesitancy in carrying out her responsibilities, reminding her that the decision is simple. Which is to always prioritize their own benefit over the benefit of others. In short, do what needs to be done regardless of how it will affect others in the long run. Lily’s heart is divided, but here is her father is here to stir her in the right direction about how to run a family-owned business. In the present, we see Elvin and Dahlia doing some book-finding in a bookstore, and Dahlia spots a book she has been searching for, which is about business. Here is Elvin to tell her it might consume her for a whole week, or Dahlia might have no time for him. Dahlia assures him it will not happen. Soon after, Dahlia’s Tita arrives with something for Dahlia to give to her real mother, Belinda, who is recovering at home, and she wonders if Dahlia has already told Belinda about the Chuas. This gets a slightly annoyed response from Dahlia that she has not. But here is Elvin to give her an old belief: one of the top reasons families end up broken is because of secrets. At home, Dahlia has handed the goodies to Belinda, who is eating them with gusto. Dahlia is happy that she is showing a healthy appetite but warns her about her stitches. Then, Belinda tells Dahlia that their neighbor has a nephew who will drop off and fetch Dahlia from work, and she next asks where exactly the building she works at is. What was supposed to be great news for Dahlia because it would solve her transportation issues irks and bothers her here, and in return, she tells Belinda that she should not have bothered because Elvin is there to fetch her and take her to work, and Belinda realizes that but reminds her he has also got work.
This was getting to be a sticky situation for Dahlia because she did not want her mother to know she was working at the Crestmont building, which is owned by the Chua’s. She then says that Elvin is the jealous type, and he would not want to suspect anything happening between Dahlia and the nephew of their neighbor. Belinda then tells her that he got married young and that he is already much older than her. This response amuses Dahlia, in which she tells her mom that she has become too involved in the lives of others, to which Belinda tells her it is much better than being laid out on the bed. In the final scene, we see Julian and Jade Lee eating out at a fine dining restaurant with, to me, a Spanish theme and setting. Jade Lee is pleasantly surprised that they are still together despite Violet catching him, and Julian does his usual pickup lines, which Jade Lee is quick to identify and asks if these are the same pickup lines he uses with all the women he desires.
Julian, who seems to be a natural-born liar or a compulsive liar, flat out denies this claim, and then his smartphone rings, he answers it, Jade Lee tells him to put it on speaker, and it is his father, Miguel, who is following up on his concern about Violet, and who is he with? As soon as Julian reveals it is Jade Lee, this gets his father, Miguel, extremely upset to find out his son is with the number one gold digger in their area and that Julian should follow his head and not what is in his pants. Julian thinks he is wise and smart and can out-fool Jade Lee, who is even known by his father; he reassures his father that all he needs is more time with Jade Lee. He reminds Julian that he must be careful because they still need Violet to sell Chocolatier and to not push his luck or he might get kicked out. Call ends. Here is Julian telling Jade Lee that she is the only woman he wants and that eventually everything that Violet has in her name will go to her. They cheered at that. In the final sequence of the final scene, we see Divina Chua, the half-sister who is more like the evil step-sister of the late Leopoldo Chua, telling Miguel that everything is going according to plan and that she has someone from the inside already. Miguel insists on knowing who Divina is referring to. She does not say.
